Enamel Drop Earrings Red Dot on White b Drop earrings, red color dot with black firescale lines on a white background. Color wheel experiment enamel earrings, just for fun fashion.
The photo is of the actual earring pair that is for sale (ENE_0130_Red_Dot_White_b), sold as a pair. Handmade by me in 2019, no two earring pairs are exactly the same. Each earring is made of pure copper with lead-free transparent vitreous enamel over white undercoat enamel. The layers are built up into glass in several firings in a kiln at roughly 1400 to 1450 degrees. The back is plain white. The actual color may seem a little darker than the sunlit picture, when in the shade or inside. Because it is transparent glass, the color reflects the light it is in. Think stained glass.
Each earring is roughly 25 mm tall by 13 mm wide by 2 mm thick (0.5 in by 0.5 in by 0.08 in). The thickness is because it is domed to help in the enameling process. The metal thickness is 20 gauge ( 0.812 mm or 0.032 in ).
Each earring includes a simple handmade 0.925 silver ear wire, and is ready to wear.
