DIYJewelry Glamour 3 Gem Gold Ring
Suitable for a gold engagement ring, built-in pre-notched push-in settings for round faceted calibrated 7 mm diameter center gem and two flanking round faceted calibrated 5 mm diameter gems.
purchase faceted calibrated gems of the correct diameter sizes
(shaped like the classic diamond enngagement ring solitaire gem)
gently push the gem into the appropriately sized setting
(the non-ink end of a papermate writebros ballpoint pen works great for this) and maybe gently squeeze those settings (alternating opposing prong pairs towards the center) with tiny flat needle nose craft pliers from Joann Fabrics or Michaels Crafts or Sears to be sure the gems will stay in place.
Perfect for a colorful center gem (lab grown ruby or sapphire, mined garnet, amethyst, citrine, aquamarine, blue topaz or peridot) and two brilliant white gems (cubic zirconia, sapphire, topaz or zircon). And yes, you can use more expensive gems (mined diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald, morganite, golden beryl) or make all the gems the same color.
It can also be used as a mothers ring, mothers birthstone in the middle, the two children's birthstones on the sides.
The ring is comfortable to wear everyday, tapered to be shorter by the palm of the hand, sturdy but elegant.
Sizes Available: Because people come in all sizes, I have built ring models for every US half-size from 1.5 through 13.0.
If you need a size smaller than 1.5 or larger than 13.0, please contact me for a custom build.
Material Info: solid gold alloy 14k Gold consists of 58% Gold, 31% Copper, 10% Silver, and 1% Zinc.

14k White Gold consists of 58% Gold, 24% Copper, 9% Zinc, and 9% Nickel.
18k Gold consists of 75% Gold, 10% Copper, and 15% Silver.
Ring thickness: minimum of roughly 1.6 mm
Care instructions: No special care required. This is solid, real uncoated gold alloy, there is no coating to wear off. Because it is gold, it will gradually wear down, after 60 years or so of never taking it off, you may need a replacement. Because gold shrinkage in casting is different from that of silver, these are slightly different models from the silver version. Dawn dish soap, water and a very soft bristle toothbrush is the preffered way of cleaning if you were involved in mud wrestling while wearing your ring.
Never use an ultra-sonic cleaning machine, the ring will be fine but most gems will be damaged or destroyed.
Recommended gem size: faceted, calibrated 7 mm diameter round (one per ring),
and faceted, calibrated 5 mm diameter round (two per ring) (Sorry I have no way to get you the gems, but both the calibrated faceted 7 mm and 5 mm gems are a very standard sizes, available in most towns, and online.)
