Active, Stylish DIY Woman Do you love these very feminine butterfly earrings? Would you like a pair for yourself and someone else, sister, mom, daughter, friend, lover, wife?
Can you cut a few small wires with Joyce Chen scissors, or small wirecutters, or a jewelers saw?
Can you gently push some 5mm cubic zirconia, or lab grown rubies, or lab grown sapphires into pre-notched settings?
Can you gently squeeze those settings with small flat nose craft pliers from Joann Fabrics or Michaels Crafts to be sure the gems will stay in place?
Can you use a fine nail file, fine emery board, and fine nail shine pad to smooth the nubs where you cut? If so, here are the perfect petite earrings for you to surprise and delight your team.
Measurements: each butterfly drop earring is 19 mm wide by 23.4 mm tall by 5.2 mm deep
(0.75 in wide by 0.92 in tall by 0.20 in deep).
Quantity: 2 pairs of earrings (4 pieces) are cast as one unit for you to cut apart
Recommended gem size: faceted, calibrated 5 mm round (one per earring)
Standard earwires for drop style earrings are appropriate (but not included).
(Sorry I have no way to get you the gems, but the calibrated faceted 5 mm gems are a very standard size, available in most towns, and online.) Cautionary note about the 'natural silver / rough cast silver' material - it is rough, exactly as it comes from casting. If you are a jeweler with the proper finishing and polishing tools, that is fine, you will be able to do standard polishing. It is labor intensive and a little technical; so I do not recommend this finish for anyone who does not have standard jewelers studio polishing equipment.
